Phillip J. Weber
Chief Executive Officer
Phillip J. Weber has served as Chief Executive Officer of Forestar since September 2015
Phillip J. Weber has served as Chief Executive Officer of Forestar since September 2015. Since May 2013, Phil has also served and currently serves as Chairman of the Forestar Real Estate Investment Committee. Phil previously served as our Executive Vice President - Real Estate from 2009 to May 2013 and as Executive Vice President – Water Resources from May 2013 to September 2015. Prior to joining Forestar, he served the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) as Senior Vice President — Multifamily from 2006 to October 2009, as Chief of Staff to the CEO from 2004 to 2006, and as Chief of Staff to non-Executive Chairman of the Board and Corporate Secretary from 2005 to 2006.
Phil received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University after completing his legal studies at Southern Methodist University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University.
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Chuck is currently serving as our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
Chuck is currently serving as our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to this position. Chuck held the position of Executive Vice President - Oil and Gas from 2013 to September, 2015 and Chief Accounting Officer from 2006 to 2013. Additionally, he served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Guaranty Insurance Services, Inc. from 2005 to 2006, and as Senior Vice President and Controller from 2000 to 2005. From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Jehl held various financial management positions within Temple-Inland’s financial services segment.
A Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas, Chuck received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Concordia Lutheran College at Austin.
Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary, Executive Vice President
David has served as our Chief Administrative Officer since 2007.
David has served as our Chief Administrative Officer since 2007, in addition to holding the offices of General Counsel and Secretary since 2006. Mr. Grimm served Temple-Inland as Group General Counsel from 2005 to 2006, Associate General Counsel from 2003 to 2005, and held various other legal positions from 1992 to 2003. Prior to joining Temple-Inland, Mr. Grimm was an attorney in private practice in Dallas, Texas.
He is a Certified Public Accountant with experience as an auditor for an international accounting firm. David received both a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University.
President – Community Development
Michael has served Forestar as President - Community Development since September 2015.
Michael has served Forestar as President - Community Development since September 2015. Michael previously served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Eastern Region Investment and Development since May 2008. Michael has more than 30 years of prior real estate experience, including previously held positions as CEO of Patrick Malloy Communities, as Senior Executive Vice President of Cousins Properties Incorporated and as Senior Vice President and CFO of Peachtree Corners Inc., all based in Atlanta.
Mr. Quinley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia State University.
Executive Vice President – Real Estate, West Region
Tom has served Forestar as Executive Vice President since 2003.
Tom has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Western Region Investment and Development since 2003. Tom's background includes over 25 years of financial and real estate-related experience, with expertise in large, master-planned communities with extensive amenity packages.
In addition to numerous positions affiliated with the Trammell Crow family, Tom was a partner in a Dallas-based holding company with investments in real estate, and oil and gas exploration and production. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
